NEWS ABOUT THE CLINIC
In collaboration with Janeen Langowski-Grava and
Topline Stables,
Northern Ohio Dressage Association
(NODA) hosted the first ever free clinic
for juniors and young riders! As one of the organizers of
this clinic, I have to report that it was a HUGE success!
We had seven riders, ages 8 to 18. Some rode their own
horses and others rode horses provided by Janeen.
Throughout the day, each rider rode with Janeen for 45
minutes, gaining valuable information through Janeen’s easy
to understand approach to teaching. The theme of the day
was definitely “Flow”, and each rider worked to achieve this
their horse. I have to say some of the transformations
were incredible from the beginning to the end of the
lessons. I had a lot of fun meeting everyone at this
clinic. It is something that NODA would like to continue,
hopefully with other local professionals. Remember, the
youth riders today are the professionals tomorrow.
Experience and education are the way to shape them into
superb riders! I’d love to hear from you with ideas,
comments, criticism or suggestions! Thanks and
good riding everyone!

I would like to thank all the Junior Young riders that
attended the JR/YR Clinic held at Topline Stables at Walden
this past Saturday. I was VERY impressed with everyone’s
riding and their abilities. All the riders
that trailered in their own horses did a fantastic job, and
as well as the riders that used Topline’s lesson horses. I
hope everyone enjoyed the clinic and walked away with a
little bit of homework. I wish all of you the best of luck
in your 2011 show season. Thank you for attending. Thank
you, NODA, for supplying lunch and refreshments.
