TOPLINE STABLES SHINES AT DEVON 2009!
Reported by Regina Sacha-Ujczo

Topline Stables had a most successful experience as they participated in the Breed portion of the 2009 Dressage at Devon Show in Devon, PA.    Janeen Langowski, Susan DeSimpel and Regina Sacha-Ujczo journeyed to Devon, Pennsylvania.  Their show results were amazing!

STORM – 9th Place Yearling Class
TUCKER (Currituck) – 9th Place 4-Year Old Class
TUCKER (Currituck) – 5th Place in Materiale Class
DAVINA & STORM – 10th in “Get of Sire” Class
DAVINA – 5th in ISR Breed Class
STORM – 3rd in ISR Breed Class

Janeen’s riding and composure were most impressive as she participated in two very competitive classes astride four-year old, Currituck, (Tucker) a gorgeous gelding owned by Sue Desimpel.   “Tucker” is by the impressive Contucci and “strutted his stuff” by placing 9th in the “Suitable for Dressage” 4-year old class and a VERY amazing 5th in the 4-year old Materiale class.   The Materiale class was held in the early afternoon under the blazing sun.   After nearly a half-hour in the ring being judged, Janeen gleefully accepted her fifth place ribbon for the two of them!   “It was a very tough class with national champions taking first through third place.  I’m very happy with Tucker’s performance, although I was really working the entire class!” said Janeen.   Owner, Sue Desimpel, could not be prouder.    Sue purchased Tucker as a three-year old from Don and Dee Kapper of OBX Farm in Beach City, Ohio.

Janeen owns a yearling colt, Davi’s Danseur (Storm) by DavidOff Hit who competed in breed classes as well.   Storm placed 9th in the Yearling Class and 10th in the “Get of Sire” class along with his full sibling, Davina Caeli, OBX, a statuesque 16.3 h. two-year old also out of DavidOff Hit from OBX Farm.   Davina is owned proudly by Regina Sacha-Uzczo.  Finally, Davina Caeli rounded out the successes by taking 5th in the ISR Breed Class, while her brother, Storm took away the third-place ribbon!

All in all, Dressage at Devon was an amazing opportunity for people and youngsters alike!   Topline Stables was supported and stabled by Hassler Dressage who owns the sire, Davidoff Hit.    New friends and experiences made this week complex but fun for all!

The youngsters were very happy to return home to Topline Stables at Walden for their daily turnout and play.    After all, they still have a lot of growing up to do!

WINTER 2009   The cold weather has made excellent care more arduous but all Topline Horses are still turned out (weather permitting) and feeling frisky!Emphasis is always upon safety and many horses are being lunged when their owners cannot get out to the barn due to inclement weather!  THANKS Rose and Angela!
